ActionBanner
Scheduled announcement and call-to-action banners for Gutenberg, Divi 5, Divi 4 and other page builders. No external service, no account, no bloat.
What it does
ActionBanner adds a banner block for time-sensitive announcements, alerts, events and calls to action. It’s built for Gutenberg and includes a native Divi 5 module. Save a banner once under Banners and place it anywhere with a short [actionbanner id] shortcode.
- Headline and optional description
- Optional button, with new-tab links
- Announcement, Action, Alert and Event banner types
- Optional start and end dates, in your site’s timezone
- Saved banners with a shortcode for Divi 4, other page builders, widgets and the classic editor
Built to stay out of your way
Scheduling survives caching: banners convert your site’s timezone to UTC and hide themselves in the browser, so full-page caches don’t need purging as time passes.
- Custom banner and button colors, with contrast checking
- Dismissible banners
- Responsive output
- No WP-Cron, no AJAX, no external service or account
FAQ
Does scheduling need JavaScript?
Yes, for scheduling and dismissal. Scheduled banners stay hidden if JavaScript is blocked; unscheduled banners stay visible.
Does it use my WordPress timezone?
Yes, the one set under Settings > General.
Does it work with full-page caching?
Yes. Time passing doesn’t need a cache purge. Purge once after changing banner content, dates or your site’s timezone.
Can I use it with Divi 4 or another page builder?
Yes. Create the banner under Banners > Add New Banner, publish it, and paste its [actionbanner id="…"] shortcode into any text or code module. Editing the banner updates every page that uses it.
